Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is a Museum of Fun, and in this day and age, we need fun in our lives more than ever! Our interactive museum celebrates the magic and history of America's bygone amusements -- circuses, carnivals, magic, sides shows, penny arcades, amusement devices, pinball arcades, haunted houses, and beautiful art everywhere. Our goal is to help people of all ages rediscover the joy of being a kid.

Playland-Not-at-the-Beach goes beyond just being a physical place; it is a state of mind and an expression of the heart. We value the importance and healing power of fun and community, because every day is meant to be fun for everybody! We enjoy seeing people of all generations interacting and enjoying themselves together.

Our attractions, exhibits, art, and educational activities grow out of creative collaboration with our friends, volunteers, and community partners. Initially our goal was to have a totally free admission policy. However the realities of the costs of building our exhibits and bringing our building up to code have forced us to develop a pricing policy. Because we value the importance of giving all people opportunities, we still plan to offer many free activities. We delight in welcoming those who may not often receive invitations to have fun, especially seniors, at-risk youth, the economically disadvantaged, and the physically and developmentally challenged.
